A hadith narration from the sixth Shi`i Imam, Ja`far as-Sadiq, explains that "out of Bani Hashim there shall come forth a Youth [Movement] who shall reveal a new Shariy`ah. He shall summon the people unto Him, but none will heed His call. Most of His enemies will be the `ulema (religious scholars). His bidding they will not obey, but will protest saying: 'This is contrary to that which has been handed down unto us by the A'immah (Imams) of [our] Faith."
